LOCAL TRAILS

Burns Lake has many trails to explorer within the Village boundry.  These trails also link to others just outside the community.

Rod Reid Trail:

Rod Reid Trail is a great easy hike that will take you around a pleasent pond that has abundant of different wildlife. 

An additional trail off of the back end of the Rod Reid Trail will take one through the forest up to Kager Lake trail system.

Kager Lake, Star Lake & Long Lake Trails:

Kager Lake trail system has many trails that go around Kager, Star and Long lake, one also has the option of hiking to the top of Boer Mountain.  This trail system has a campsite located at the parking lot (Trail Head).

Boer Mountain Biking Trails:

Boer Mountain Bike Park is the first of its kind as the park is the only mountain bike parks to be build on Crown land in Canada. 

This park was also designed by Whislter park designers and the best part is it is FREE to use.

Eveneshen Trail:

Eveneshen Trail is located with in the Burns Lake Village boundries.  This trail starts right downtown and follows the creek all the way up to the Rod Reid Trail. 

This trails has numerus acces points and parking lots.  This trail is easy to moderate for difficulty as once section is pretty much flat and other sections have rolling terrian.

There are many different trails located minutes from Burns Lake.  The trails listed here are just a snap shot of the variety of different trails located in the Burns Lake area.

Nourse Creek Trail

Nourse Creek Trail is a well maintained route that will take you to the well know Nourse Creek Falls.  The falls provide a nice refreshing area to take a dip in the river when the water levels are lower in August.
