Discover the Goldmine that is the Magee Trail
The Magee Trail is a hidden gem that offers something for everyone. It connects Rod Reid at the top of 9th Ave to the Boer Mountain trails, intersecting with Learn From Experience and Porkupine. The trailhead is located near a small parking area just off 9th Avenue. The path begins as a good wide trail, taking you through beautiful scenery such as lakes, creeks and marshes. Follow the path as it winds through switchbacks into the mountains, where you will be rewarded with some of the best mountain bike trails located at the base of the Boer Mountain Recreation Site.
Directions: This trail connects from the Rod Reid trail and can be easily reached by driving up 8th Ave, then connecting to 9th Avenue until you reach the Rod Reid parking lot. This trail is unique in that it connects downtown to Boer Mt, providing a complete experience for those who enjoy walking, hiking, skiing or cycling.
