What began as a small end-of-summer gathering has grown into one of the Lakes District's most anticipated annual events.
Light Up the Lake started with a simple idea: give families one last chance to celebrate summer together before school starts and routines take over. Six years later, that simple idea has grown into a beloved community tradition that brings people together from across the Lakes District.
From live music featuring talented local musicians to inflatables for the kids, food trucks, artisan vendors, and plenty of space to gather with friends and neighbours, there's something for everyone. The evening ends with our signature Boat Parade, where decorated vessels transform Burns Lake into a glowing celebration of community spirit.
