Tchesinkut Lake is located approximately 16 km south of Burns Lake on Highway 35. This lake is known for its kokanee and rainbow trout (which can weigh up to four pounds) and char (lake trout) up to 42 pounds. While Tchesinkut offers both excellent winter and summer fishing opportunities, fishing for char is limited in this lake, so check the current fishing regulations before planning your fishing trip to this lake. There is a boat launch available.

Directions: From Burns Lake, head south on Hwy 35 for 16 km until you reach Tchesinkut Lake.
